Free Public Wifi

West Warwick Public Library offers free public wireless internet inside and outside the building. To connect your phone, tablet, or laptop, select "West Warwick Public" from your WiFi settings, no password required!

Free Computer Access

Adult Computer Access

Public access computers for adults are located on the second floor in the Adult Services Department. All computers have access to the following programs: 

  • Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher

  • Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome web browsers

  • Adobe Acrobat PDF reader

Log in with your library card number, or ask for a Guest Pass at the Adult Services Desk. All computers shut down automatically 15 minutes before closing.

The following items are available for purchase at the Adult Services desk:

  • Corded earbuds for $1.00

  • USB flash drives for $3.00

Youth Computer Access

Public access computers for children and teens are located on the first floor in the Youth Department. All computers have access to the following programs: 

  • ​Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge internet browsers

  • Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher

  • Adobe Acrobat PDF reader

  • Minecraft

  • Roblox

Log in with your library card number, or ask for a Guest Pass at the Youth Services Desk. All computers shut down automatically 10 minutes before closing.

Two ABC Mouse computers are located in the Youth Department, and do not require a library card or Guest Pass to access.

Teens and preteens age 10-18 can sign in at the Youth Services Desk to access the Teen Media Lounge. The Teen Media Lounge includes:

  • two computers

  • PlayStation 5

  • Xbox One

  • Nintendo Switch

  • a selection of video games rated E and T

 

Headphones and device chargers are available to borrow at the Youth Services Desk.​​​

Printing, Copying, Scanning

Printing is available at all computers located in the Youth and Adult Services Departments. Printing cost $0.20/page for black and white prints, and $0.50/page for color prints. We are currently unable to print from phones, tablets, or personal laptops.

Copying is available on the second floor in the Adult Services Department. Copying cost $0.20/page for black and white copies, and $0.50/page for color copies.

Scanning is available at the Scan Kiosk in the Adult Services Department. Scanning is free, and documents can be scanned to email, cloud storage, or flash drive. 

Faxing

Outgoing fax service is available on the second floor in the Adult Services Department. Faxing costs $1.00/per page, and a cover sheet is provided free of charge. We are unable to receive incoming faxes. Fax service is unavailable 30 minutes before closing.

Technology Education

Looking for assistance with your tech? Our staff may be able to help! West Warwick Public Library offers assistance with smartphones, tablets, laptops, e-readers, email, accessing digital services and resources, and other minor tech issues and troubleshooting. The following programs and services are available:

  • Senior Tech Social Club: Weekly on Thursdays, seniors and older adults can meet to socialize and receive tech help. No registration necessary!

  • One-on-One Tech Sessions: We offer one-hour, individualized sessions to assist with minor tech issues and troubleshooting. Sessions are available by appointment only. Call 401-828-3750 ext. 1 or email info@wwpl.org to check availability.

  • Classes and Workshops: WWPL hosts free classes, workshops, and presentations on a variety of topics related to technology and digital literacy. Visit our event calendar to view upcoming classes.

West Warwick Public Library staff cannot assist with hardware issues/computer repair or with desktop computers, printers, or other large technology that cannot be physically brought to the library. Staff may be able to offer recommendations for other services in these cases.
